Final

masterpiece

I have decided to change my masterpiece project from what i was previously doing to cutting hair because i wasn't making much progress on my last project and i have already started on this one.

I think that my inner Jiro is playing basketball becuase that is when im at peace and is something im willing to fail at and get back up and keep trying i feel like thats what i was meant to do.

Catcher in the Rye chapter 18

After leaving Holden goes to the store to buy some things and starts thinking about calling Jane again but when he called no one picked up. Later he goes to see a movie with a friend. After the movie he walks to a bar and thinks about how the movie was about war and he would never do that.

Catcher in the Rye chapter 17

Holden goes to meet his date sally at 2 but she arrives late. They take a taxi to the theatre and begin kissing. Sally begins flirting with someone and irritates Holden but still takes her to go ice skating. Holden starts thinking to himself that she only wanted to go ice skating to wear a short skirt to show off her butt. They begin to talk and Holden says they should run away together but Sally thinks its stupid and ridiculous which agitates Holden making him call Sally names and leaves without her.

Catcher in the Rye chapter 16

Holden goes for a walk after breakfast and thinks about how people can be so giving and selfless like the nuns he met. He then goes to buy a record for Phoebe. Holden calls Jane but hangs up as soon as her mother answers the phone. He buys tickets to see a movie with his date Sally. Holden starts thinking about Phoebe and goes to look for her and runs into a girl that knows her. He goes into the museum that the girl said even though the trip was the previous day and reminisces on his own trips.

Catcher in the Rye chapter 15

Holden calls Sally Hayes to make a date for later and leaves the hotel. Holden goes to eat breakfast and meets two nuns and begins to talk to one about Romeo and Juliet and gives them $10 but then regrets giving it to them because he needs money for the date.

Catcher in the Rye chapter 14

Holden begins smoking and remembers when he excluded Allie from a gam shortly before her death and feels guilty. Someone knocks on his door  and its the elevator operator demanding to collect the $5 dollars extra. Holden refuses but they pin him and take the money from him.

Catcher in the Rye chapter 13

After Holden leaves the nightclub he walks back to the hotel and thinks about his gloves that got stolen at Pencey but is saying he is a coward because he would not have done anything. Loss doesn't really affect him as much. When he gets to the hotel someone offers to set him up with a prostitute for $5 and Holden accepts . The prostitute arrives and tries to seduce Holden but him being a coward could not do it and paid her the $5 to leave refusing to pay her more.

Catcher in the Rye chapter 12

Holden takes cab to a Greenwich Village Nightclub which he used to go with D.B. The can driver gets unexpectedly angry when Holden asks him a question about ducks. At the nightclub Holden is unimpressed with Ernie's piano playing and overhears peoples phony conversations. He then sees a girl D.B used to date and leaves to avoid her.

When holden leaves he begins to think about Jane they used to live next door. Also thinking about how they met each other after his mother confronted her mother about a Doberman Pinscher. Holden returns to his room but decided to take a cab instead.

Holden goes downstairs to the Edmonds nightclub but thinks about calling his sister as he called her Old Phoebe and began to think about her and her character and recalls a movie they watched together.
Holden then tries to order a cocktail but the waiter doesn't give him one. He begins to dance with some women and flirt but seem uninterested  and Holden pays for their drinks and leaves

Catcher in the Rye chapter 9

Holden takes a cab to Edmont hotel and tries to talk to the driver but the driver is uninterested. In his room he looks out the window and sees weird things going on like a man in women clothing and a Man and a Women taking turns spitting in each others face.

Catcher in the Rye chapter 8

As Holden leaves Pencey he begins to walk to the train station and catches a train. A women sits next to him which happens to be the mother of a classmate Ernest Morrow which Holden hates. Holden tell her lies about her son and tells her he has to go to New York for brain tumor operation. He offers her a cigarette and finds her attractive in a way.

Holden is talking with Ackley because he couldn't sleep thinking about Jane with Stradlater. He asks Ackley if he could join a monastery without being religious but Ackley doesn't  like the conversation. Holden then leaves and thinks to himself that he is going to leave to New York that night and leaves Pencey

Catcher in the Rye chapter 6

Stradlater gets mad at Holden after reading the composition saying it had nothing to do with what the assignment was about. Holden then rips it up and throws it away and tries to annoy Stradlater so he begins to smoke a cigarette . Holden tries to hit Stradlater after he doesn't tell him anything about the date but gets pinned to the floor and begins insulting Stradlater causing him to punch Holden's nose bloodying it.

Pencey always serves steaks on Fridays most likely because the parents would ask what they ate for lunch. After dinner Holden gets into a snowball fight with other kids in Pence.Him and Mal decide to go see a movie even though holden hates movies and convinces him to let Ackley go even though Ackley and Mal had seen the movie already.

This chapters about how Holden goes to his old teachers house before he leaves the school and talks about how he was so lazy back in his History class. This chapter seemed interesting to me because it talks about how Holden hates phonies and usually fails all of his classes except English in most of his schools not just his current school.

Ch3-This chapter foreshadows something with the books, and his return home, he tries to hide his true self and is a great liar. He also criticizes people in his head a lot.

Ch4- Starts criticizing  Stradlater a lot and starts to talk about Jane as if he likes her. And does Stradlater assignment.

Ch5-  They start a snowball fight. Holden starts Stradlaters work. Also talks about his brother.

Ch6- We start to realize that Holden does car for people. Stradlater also didn't like what Holden wrote for his brother. Holden wants Stradlater to get mad and they start to fight

Ch8- Holden had to take a train and wiped his face full of blood with snow. Meets a girl on the train and offers her a cigarette.

Ch-13 Walking back to the hotel, Someone took his gloves and he's a coward and wouldn't have done anything because loss doesn't effect his as much. They asked him if he wanted to hook up with a prostitute and he says yea. But made an excuse and paid her to leave.

Catcher in the rye chapter 1

The chapter is about how he leaves pencey because he got kicked out and is at the game. He goes to visit his old teacher as well.The intro into of this is pretty good but the character seems quite weird and doesn't seem like the type of book I've read before 

My Topic

The topic I have chosen and want to learn about is Basketball Shoes.
I became interested in this topic because I play basketball and most shoes have a different story behind it.
The way that this topic will enrich my life is because I am interested in it and and it makes me happy and it brings people that have the same interest together and u can show each other your collection and tell the story behind why u got it.
The discipline this requires is learning how to spend  your money wisely and not just buying everything.
I will begin researching by checking the history behind the shoes and the achievements that were accomplished in that shoe by a player.
The only resources i need is time and money.
I think i am going to continue posting on this blog.
I would also like to know more about how the shoes are made and meet people from Nike and Jordan.
