Catcher in the Rye chapter 2

This chapters about how Holden goes to his old teachers house before he leaves the school and talks about how he was so lazy back in his History class. This chapter seemed interesting to me because it talks about how Holden hates phonies and usually fails all of his classes except English in most of his schools not just his current school.

Catcher in the Rye presentation notes

Ch3-This chapter foreshadows something with the books, and his return home, he tries to hide his true self and is a great liar. He also criticizes people in his head a lot.

Ch4- Starts criticizing  Stradlater a lot and starts to talk about Jane as if he likes her. And does Stradlater assignment.

Ch5-  They start a snowball fight. Holden starts Stradlaters work. Also talks about his brother.

Ch6- We start to realize that Holden does car for people. Stradlater also didn't like what Holden wrote for his brother. Holden wants Stradlater to get mad and they start to fight

Ch8- Holden had to take a train and wiped his face full of blood with snow. Meets a girl on the train and offers her a cigarette.

Ch-13 Walking back to the hotel, Someone took his gloves and he's a coward and wouldn't have done anything because loss doesn't effect his as much. They asked him if he wanted to hook up with a prostitute and he says yea. But made an excuse and paid her to leave.

Catcher in the rye chapter 1

The chapter is about how he leaves pencey because he got kicked out and is at the game. He goes to visit his old teacher as well. The intro into of this is pretty good but the character seems quite weird and doesn't seem like the type of book I've read before

My Topic

The topic I have chosen and want to learn about is Basketball Shoes.
I became interested in this topic because I play basketball and most shoes have a different story behind it.
The way that this topic will enrich my life is because I am interested in it and and it makes me happy and it brings people that have the same interest together and u can show each other your collection and tell the story behind why u got it.
The discipline this requires is learning how to spend  your money wisely and not just buying everything.
I will begin researching by checking the history behind the shoes and the achievements that were accomplished in that shoe by a player.
The only resources i need is time and money.
I think i am going to continue posting on this blog.
I would also like to know more about how the shoes are made and meet people from Nike and Jordan.

Literature analysis Fantastic Four war zone

1)  What drew me to this book is that i like the movie.  I expected to read what i saw in the movies but with more detail.
2)  What kept me reading past the past ten pages was that i was interested to see what would happen.
3)  I don't have any reading habits because i don't read often.

1)  The plot of the novel is that there are four friends who travel into space and have their genes mutated and later each have their own superpower.  One becomes a big strong rock monster, One turns to fire and flies, One becomes really stretchy, And the other 1 becomes invisible. But they want to reverse the affects. DR .Doom doesn't like that and will do anything to stop them.
2)  I think the theme is that if you stick together you can do more than by being alone and selfish.
3) The authors tone is serious.

1)" Her hair was long and golden." " He became as hot as the sun and was able to reach the stars"
2)  The authors tone does not change.
3)  He is flat because he does not change.
4) I felt like i met characters because of their superpowers not being real.

Literature analysis the cat in the hat comes back

1)  What drew me to this book is that I like Dr. Suess.  I expected a book with a lot of rhyming and pictures.
2)  What kept me reading is the comedy.
3)  I don't really have any reading habits because i don't read often.

1)The book is about how the cat wants to hang out with the little kids Sally and her brother while their mother is gone but  the cat makes a big mess and tries to clean it up before she comes back but uses her favorite dress and the kids want him gone.
2)The theme of the book is that no matter what h append u can do something if u try really hard.
3)The tone is humorous. "but i like to eat cake laughed the cat"

1)"Hardworking cat" "kids that liked to play tricks"
2)no the authors diction or syntax does not change.
3)The character is dynamic because he changes throughout the story in the beginning he just likes to play jokes on people and didn't care about anyone else but at the end he becomes good and wants to make up for what he did wrong.
4) after this i felt like i read a character.

Literature Analysis F 451

1) What drew me to this book was the unusual story of a fireman starting fires.
2) What kept me reading past the first 10 pages was that i had to read the book to get a good grade.
3)I do not usually read but when I have to read I usually read what we are assigned or review before a test.

1) The plot of the book is that there are fireman who are brainwashed to start fires and to burn all the books they can because they are considered bad and the main Character Montag starts questioning if he really wants to be what he is but he decided he didn't so he turns on them and has to hide the books he has. In the end he ends up killing his boss and evading the police
2) the theme is self determination
3)the authors tone toward the story was dark
1)Direct characterization= clerice said I'm 17 and I'm crazy when asked her age
indirect =her face was slender and milk white. usually when the author uses direct characterization it stays with me more than indirect characterization
2)I think the authors syntax and diction changes when he talks about montage because montage usually thinks dark things so that reflects the authors tone.
3) the character is dynamic because he changes throughout the story from good to bad.
4)After the book i did fell that i met a character because of how good he was described throughout the story.
